About 50m after dropping into the level and area of stoping was reached with a small 'island', so we could get out the water.
This ‘island’ had been created by the collapse of large timbers which had originally had stacked deads on top of them. Some timbers (and deads) were still in place, with a small stope above.
The yellow 'thing' is an inflatable pouch which was used to hold the surveying book, pens etc.. The theory being that they would be kept dry and float !
