MADELEY

 

ACCIDENT: On Thursday morning, William Bates, a single man, residing in Park Street, Madeley, had his back badly hurt whilst working at the Kemberton Pits. He was about cleaning up, when a lump of coal dropped out of the slip on to his back.

The young man was conveyed home by his comrades, and Dr. Webb attended to the injury.
